Nokia 3310 is certainly not an unfamiliar name for those of us older than 15-20 years old. This iconic phone, phased out more than a decade ago, was a toast of phone users who wanted a phone that had an extra ordinary battery life and also very durable. There were jokes about the possibility of using the phone as a hammer without the phone getting damaged. I actually saw the phone fall down and the front and back cover, as well as the battery pull off. As soon as the battery was inserted, a call came in 🙂

I used Nokia 3310 and certainly, as they say, the taste of the pudding is in the eating.  No doubt, then, that I was one of those who felt excited that this one-of-a-kind phone was entering the already highly competitive phone market again – this time, in style.

This time around the “new” Nokia 3310 is coming in looking stylish and not what we used to know it for. Announcing its return last week at the Mobile World Congress, Finnish start-up, HMD Global, which bought the rights to the Nokia brand last year and is making the phones, has however assured that the twin main features of long battery life and durability, are still key features of the revamped Nokia 3310. Check these out:

On the outside, the new Nokia 3310 boast of:

  • Beautiful push buttons and iconic, shaped design
  • 2 MP camera with LED flash for simple snaps
  • Headphone jack for your tunes
  • 2.4” curved window with polarized layer for better readability in sunlight
  • Available as both single SIM and dual SIM variants

And inside, it boast of:

  • 2G connectivity for calling and texting
  • All-new UI with nods to the original
  • Awesome battery life, with up to 22 hours talk time
  • FM radio and MP3 player for music
  • 16 MB storage4 plus a MicroSD card slot with support up to 32 GB

Do you mean 12000 mAh battery or 1200? There are phones doing 5000mAhbattery phones already like Gionee and ITEL.
