Adaeze Onyekwelu, better known as Adaeze of The SuperKids, is a dazzling, amazing and multi-talented singer, dancer, song writer and entertainer from Nigeria. To cap it all, she is highly blessed and gifted with a beautiful voice that catches the attention of even those who do not like music 🙂
I first watched her and her fantastic siblings and friends, all of which are wonderful entertainers, some years ago after buying the SuperKids’ music video volume 1 for my children. Thereafter, I did not quite appreciate this gifted child and group until after buying volume 3. One day I decided to sit with my children and watch all the songs in volume 3. The only person that can be able to make me sit down for that long, watching a music video is Michael Jackson 🙂 It was a fantastic experience 🙂
The songs, the singing, the messages in the songs, dance steps, video quality, sound quality, the children, the colourful outfits, the adults and everything that made up each video was, to say the least, FANTASTIC 🙂 I used to wonder how long it took for those children to master the flawless dance steps and for Adaeze and her friends and siblings to remember the lines. Kudos to all the adults who worked in the background.
As said earlier, I love all their songs especially the tributes to Teachers titled “Dear Teacher”; and the fantastic tribute to her mummy titled “Best Mum In The World.” I learnt a couple of French in “Monsieur Mayaki.” “Oge Eru Ola” displayed the fact that their parents have done a good job in ensuring that the mother tongue was inculcated into them at an early age; while “Bend Down Low” and “Education Carried Me Away” had very strong messages for the kids and adults as well. “Back Again” showed how good Adaeze and her group were in their dancing abilities 🙂
The fact that Adaeze co-wrote some of those beautiful songs makes her really amazing 🙂 So, that makes volume 4 a thing to watch out for 🙂
By now, you would have been fully convinced that I am a huge fan of this child-superstar. So, it was a rude shock when I, like many other people, heard that this lovely girl was no more. I heard from 1, 2, 3, and then more and more people. Could it true? Who or what could have killed this Child of God who even “preaches” in some of her songs? What or who could have been the source or cause of the horrible rumour? Well, I felt a web search should be able to solve this nightmarish puzzle. My web searches finally took me to her Fan Page (@SuperKidsMusic). This, I did, yesterday. There, I saw our adorable Adaeze spotting a dazzling red outfit, celebrating her 9th birthday on April 24 and a Children’s Day greeting on May 27, both of 2016 🙂 What a relief ! 🙂
This was the best thing that happened to me yesterday! 🙂 We were all so happy in my family. My 4 year old daughter kept asking me to show her Adaeze’s pictures, till she went to bed. We did not tell her the bad news anyway.
So, Adaeze is alive and very well. To God be the glory for the pleasant news. I can imagine how the family feels about this rumour. Well, let’s take solace in the fact that SHE IS ALIVE AND HEALTHY. Praise GOD !!! 🙂
If you feel for this adorable girl, please grant the SuperKids’s appeal that the news about Adaeze’s well being should be spread. Please share this post as far as you can and help bring an end to this sickening and baseless rumour. Also share it to reduce the amout of embarrasing calls and questions the SuperKids and Adaeze’s family, especially the mum, gets on daily basis.
God bless you Adaeze. May the good Lord watch over you, the SuperKids and your families. May your enemies not rejoice over you. May the good Lord that you sing about forever prove Himself to you in Jesus name. You will do more than you promised to do for your mum and family in Jesus name, Amen !!!
