In my last blog post on WhatsApp (click here), I wrote on how to connect your computer to your WhatsApp app on your phone.
WhatsApp has now gone a step further to introduce the WhatsApp app for desktop. According to WhatsApp, “our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device.”
The new desktop app is however not available for all computers, but for Windows 8 and beyond and Mac OS 10.9 and beyond. The App is synced with WhatsApp app on your mobile device.
Since the app runs on your desktop, you will get desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and much more.
How do you get the app?
To download (61.5 MB) the app, using a desktop browser, please click here. You have the option of downloading either the 32 or 64-bit versions. This depends on your computer.
Open the app on your computer and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone (look for WhatsApp Web menu under Settings). If properly done, you should see your chats load up on your computer. Mine is alive o my laptop 🙂
Chat with friends, business associates and family members, on a bigger screen.
NOTE : For all of these to be possible your computer and phone must have active internet connections.
Happy chatting….share the fun by sharing this post 🙂
